Lynn Cowart was born in Buffalo, New York into an Italian and Polish family, growing up in the steel city of Lackawanna. After graduating from SUNY Buffalo with a BA in Business Communications, she traveled to Stamford, Connecticut to begin her career with GE Capital, where she later earned her MBA from the University of Connecticut. After a 20 year career with GE, between Capital and Aerospace in Valley Forge, PA., she 'retired' to Atlanta, Georgia to raise her two children and to begin her consulting adventure. Her first book, 'Up is Not the Only Way - Rethinking Career Mobility' co-authored with Dr. Beverly Kaye and Lindy Williams, is a how-to guide, ironically mirroring her own career, that re-defines growth and illustrates the benefits of optionality and kaleidoscope thinking in making smart, successful career decisions. Up is Not the Only Way delivers choices and options that all can apply, at some point in their careers, to ensure ultimate career satisfaction.
