Luke Alsip is a writer, researcher, business owner, and Naval Officer in the Reserves with a passion for identifying and tackling the challenges posed by despotism, organized crime, and terrorism. With over 14 years of experience as an intelligence professional, he has supported counterterrorism, counternarcotics, and counterintelligence operations through various roles within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Luke currently leads the Privateer Project, an initiative dedicated to revitalizing the practice of privateering to lawfully disrupt the movement of tyrants, terrorists, and criminal organizations across all domains. The project’s mission is to empower modern privateers to operate legally, effectively, and profitably in the fight against global threats. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado, a Master’s in Homeland Security, and a Bachelor’s in Intelligence Studies from American Military University. When he's not working, writing, or researching, Luke enjoys spending time with his family and heading out on adventures to the mountains or the ocean. His recent works explore the modern application of privateering as a tool for global security.
