Luisa A Jones lives in South Wales. She writes captivating and emotional fiction exploring the complex, messy truths of the human condition, with flawed, relatable characters readers root for from the first page. Luisa studied Classical Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her jobs have included tour guide in an historic house; teacher; careers adviser; and corporate trainer/assessor/coach. Luisa’s first historical novel, The Gilded Cage, was an Amazon Victorian Historical Romance bestseller in the UK and the USA. Her WWII novel, What We Left Behind, has been shortlisted for the RNA's Saga Romance of the Year Award 2026. Luisa is a member of the Society of Authors, the Historical Writers’ Association, and the Romantic Novelists' Association (RNA). She was shortlisted for the RNA's Elizabeth Goudge Trophy in 2024. When she's not writing, Luisa loves crafting and baking. She and her husband are the proud owners of Gwynnie, a 1974 VW camper van, which inspired the story behind Luisa's first book, Goes Without Saying. They have three children, a dog, and two cats.
