Rasmussen is a lead developer of Adaptive Readiness for Culture (ARC), a competency model that defines the skills people need to adapt quickly to new cultures and work effectively with diverse partners. ARC is based on extensive studies of professionals who have collaborated closely with culturally different others in multiple regions overseas. It has been incorporated into policy that guides cultural training and education of U.S. defense department personnel.
