Louis Trinca-Pasat never expected his path would lead from the NFL to a life devoted to sharing Jesus. After graduating from the University of Iowa as an All-Big Ten football player with a bachelor’s degree in sports studies and a master’s degree in educational leadership, he played defensive tackle for the St. Louis Rams and Los Angeles Rams. His life changed forever during his first mission trip to the Philippines in 2020. There, a profound encounter with Jesus led him to attend Dallas Theological Seminary, graduate with a master’s in Christian studies, and explore biblical fasting—beginning with a transformative twenty-five-day fast that shifted his understanding of faith and surrender. Born to Romanian parents in Chicago, Louis now serves as a missionary and evangelist, sharing what he's learned about the depths of God's love through fasting. He writes from Texas, where he continues to witness the life-changing power of drawing closer to Jesus through biblical fasting.
