Liz Williams is the author of three books and a devotional about healing from complex PTSD through faith and clinical treatment.

After years of navigating the effects of childhood abuse, Liz was diagnosed with complex PTSD in adulthood. That diagnosis became a turning point. Through EMDR therapy, psychoanalysis, and the unwavering presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the clinical process, she walked the long road from survival to genuine healing. She writes because she does not want any other woman to walk that road alone.

Her debut memoir, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, follows her journey of confronting a buried abusive past and discovering her identity in Christ. Her second memoir, Trampling the Snake, explores the clinical and spiritual work of healing, including complex PTSD as an attachment disorder, inner-child healing, EMDR therapy, and breaking generational patterns through faith.

The Heart God Healed is her honest, Scripture-rooted journey from spiritual restlessness to renewed purpose. Blending personal story, biblical insight, and practical reflection questions, the book invites readers to allow God’s grace to soften and transform their hearts.

Rooted is a 41-day devotional written from the trenches of complex PTSD and motherhood. It offers Scripture, raw reflections, and practical steps for addressing specific trauma wounds, including anxiety, shame, and unforgiveness.

Liz lives in Simpsonville, South Carolina, with her husband, their two children, and their Mini Bernedoodle, Rex. Follow her journey on Instagram and YouTube at @fearfullyandwonderfullyliz.
