I’ve been interested in astrology since I was a kid in the 1960s, buying those sun sign books in the grocery store. In 1980, I learned about Lynn McCown, a local astrologer. I booked a reading, and my whole perception of astrology changed. Her ability to tell me so many specific things about myself, and give a context of reincarnation to explain why I came in with these beliefs, skills, and lessons ignited a passion in me to learn this language of astrology. In addition to studying with Lynn, I devoured books, and traveled to learn from others as well. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know. Astrology is a language you can learn, and like any language you need to use it to become fluent. I asked everyone I could if they knew their birth time and if I could discuss their chart with them. Word spread, and though I hadn’t planned to become a professional astrologer, but by the mid 1980s I had business cards made and claimed the title of Astrologer. I also had a fulfilling career working for the US Air Force leading cutting edge technology teams. I have a BS in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA. I retired from government service in 2017 though my passion for astrology continues. I’m so fortunate to have gotten my core knowledge from a master astrologer who also had a mentor. I feel I’m part of a lineage of wisdom that has been handed down in the tradition of master-apprentice. It’s now my turn to share this system of astrology with a wider audience. I hope my book, Karmic Astrology, helps you to better understand yourself and improve your life. Perhaps it will ignite or reinforce a passion in you for this ancient tool, as Lynn was able to do for me.
