Guidance for young adults, straight from the heart. Media executive, national leader, speaker and author. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and now a resident of the great state of Texas, I'm driven today by the same calling that attracted me to television while in high school--the opportunity to learn and share. The platforms have changed dramatically, but my belief that media can be a force for good remains constant. Everyday there's a lesson in being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Everyday I learn something new about being a manager, colleague, coworker and most recently as a student again at the University of Houston Bauer School of Business MBA program. My series "Always and Never: 20 Truths for a Happy Heart," and "Always and Never, The Companion Journal" I share what I've learned with graduates to as they step off stage and into their future. The book and journal combined offer more than 170 pages of Encouragement, Empowerment and Enthusiasm for the next chapter of their lives. While so many things in the world are changing, these concepts will always be true. Always.
