I grew up in Southern California, with a side trip around the world as a kid, college at Harvard, and a few unforgettable years in Santa Barbara. My literary taste runs the gamut from Shakespeare, Poe, and Austen, to Elizabeth Lowell, Toni Morrison, and Jo Nesbo. Though I often read dark and tormented stories that plumb the inner demons of tortured souls, I prefer to write lighter books that my readers can have fun with. My books reflect the diversity of the genres I love, from DIALYSIS: A MEMOIR, to my romantic suspense novels: THE OFFERING and FINDING CLARITY: Romantic Suspense in the Humboldt Redwoods, to my mystery, LOVE AND MONEY: a Santa Barbara Mystery.
