Linda Newbery has written for young readers of all ages, and is a winner of the Costa Children's Book Prize, with two shortlistings for the prestigious Carnegie Medal as well as many other nominations. She has recently published her first novel for adults, QUARTER PAST TWO ON A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, which was a Radio 2 Book Club choice. It is now available in paperback with the new title MISSING ROSE. She is currently working on a new adult novel. Linda lives in a small village in north Oxfordshire with her husband and two cats. She loves yoga, reading, gardening and swimming. For many years a campaigner for animal welfare organisations, she is a passionate supporter of Compassion in World Farming, the League Against Cruel Sports and PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Her books have been translated into fifteen languages and she enjoys travelling overseas to speak at schools, libraries and festivals.
