I was born and raised in Rosedale, Queens, New York, and lived in several towns on Long Island before eventually making my way to Asheville, North Carolina. My husband, Roy, and I were blessed with two children. After Roy passed away, I later experienced the heartbreaking loss of my daughter—losses that forever shaped my life and perspective.

When I moved to Asheville, I was captivated by the beauty and majesty of the mountains. I was very happy there, and it was in Asheville that I began my journey as an author. My first book, In the Blink of an Eye on a Crisp Autumn Day, marked the beginning of a new and meaningful chapter in my life.

Writing Times with Terry was a particular joy. I wanted to create an entertaining story while giving young readers lessons they could carry with them. Through Terry's experiences, children can learn how to handle uncomfortable situations, appreciate different ways of life, become curious about animals and unfamiliar foods, and discover how to make the best of difficult circumstances.

A follow-up to Times with Terry is available. I hope my books encourage children to explore, learn, and see life's challenges as opportunities for growth.
