I live in my hometown of Washington, DC and a New Hampshire writer's cabin. I'm the editor of the anthology Mommy Wars, the memoir Crazy Love, a book about surrogacy, The Baby Chase, and my latest memoir about female sexuality and aging, The Naked Truth. I speak frequently about surviving domestic violence, including my TEDTalk, "Why Domestic Violence Victims Stay," and I also did a TEDMEDTalk that explores the ethics of global surrogacy.
