Leslie Alford is a former English instructor and tutor who also has worked in business and is addicted to travel. She is the niece of historian and author Terry Alford, and her maternal great-grandmother, Nannie L'Engle Barnes, was a close relative of author Madeleine L'Engle, so Leslie always has wanted to write a book. When she sat down to type, the first chapter of Christmas with a Courier flowed out, and, especially because this was during the Covid limitations, she decided to make the book appropriate for ages ten to adult so that more readers could enjoy an escapist adventure. Thus began a series of novellas about young secret agents on their early missions that includes Maui with an Agent and Ski Resort with an Agent. Leslie is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and has a B.A. in English from Rhodes College and an M.A. in English from Mississippi College. She has enjoyed living in different places and recently moved back to Mississippi where she has many hobbies including studying foreign languages, following baseball, attending theater performances, painting and gardening.
