Lesa Brackbill is a dedicated advocate and author on a mission to turn personal heartbreak into systemic change. After her daughter Victoria was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease in 2015, Lesa leveraged her background in political science and strategic communication to reform Pennsylvania’s Newborn Screening program, resulting in the life-saving Act 133 of 2020. A sought-after speaker and policy expert, Lesa serves on the Board of Directors for KrabbeConnect and is Director of Advocacy for Patient Advocacy Strategies. She is the author of Even So, Joy, a memoir that explores the resilience of the human spirit and the search for beauty in the midst of sorrow, and is releasing her second book on March 27, 2026. Lesa holds an MA in Strategic Communication from Azusa Pacific University. She resides in Hershey, PA, where she balances her passion for advocacy with raising her twin sons and sharing the history of the Hershey legacy.
