Leah Swann is the author of five books, including the bestselling literary thriller Sheerwater, (Harper Collins 2020) winner of the Davitt Award for Best Debut Novel 2021. She also wrote the acclaimed short story collection Bearings, (Affirm Press) a Dobbie Award finalist in 2012, and the fantasy series Irina:The Trilogy (Brio Books/XOUM 2015). The first of this series, Irina The Wolf Queen, was shortlisted for the Aurealis Award for Excellence in Australian Speculative Fiction.
Swann’s journalism, short fiction and poetry have been published in newspapers, literary magazines and anthologies, including The Saturday Paper, Australian Love Stories, The World To Come, Best Australian Stories 2011 and 2014. She won Overland’s inaugural Story Wine Prize for That Inward Eye, and Street Sweeper gained first place in page seventeen’s short story competition. Leah lives in Melbourne with her family.
