Laurie is a CPA turned fiction writer. Having loved to read her whole life, she finally decided to give into the characters nagging her and write something.

In 2010 she wrote her first full-length novel, a Greek myth story called Deceived under L.A. Starkey. After that, she was hooked.

And there began a new creation.

In 2014, she quit her six-figure job cold turkey, damned and determined to make stories for the rest of her life, or at least facilitate making them with partners and collaborators, if nothing else.

Almost three and a half years later, she's penned 130 stories, 6.5 million words, and put out books in the romance, fantasy, young-adult, middle grade, mystery/suspense, and Christian fiction genres. She lives in Texas, but is often on the road. She's married to her best friend and has three amazing kiddos to share her life with.

She writes under Ali Parker, Weston Parker (co-writing), Liza Probz, LA Starkey, & Kate Thomas. Those are the ones she's willing to divulge. Ha!
