Laurie Jankower James hails from the vibrant culture of south Louisiana. As a devoted wife and devoted fan of Ragin’ Cajun sports, she embodies the spirit of her roots. In 1986, Laurie established a successful résumé writing and career coaching firm, beginning her impactful entrepreneurial journey. Her influence extended far beyond individual careers when she co-founded and led the Professional Résumé Writing and Research Association (PRWRA). Under her guidance, PRWRA expanded into 19 global markets, setting uniform international standards for résumé writing and elevating the industry’s recognition of career practitioners. In 2005, PRWRA rebranded as Career Directors International (CDI), solidifying its position as a leader among professional career associations. Laurie’s contributions were recently honored with the prestigious CDI Lifetime Achievement Award. Guided by her unwavering faith in God and a relentless commitment to positivity, Laurie has inspired countless professionals worldwide. Alongside her husband, she enjoys the camaraderie of athletic events and the simple joys of travel and theatre. Her life’s mission revolves around empowering others to reach their full potential, epitomized by her favorite quote from Victor Hugo: “To Love Another Person Is To See The Face of God!”
