Born of the wild hills of New England and forged in the fire of service and adventure, Lauren has walked a warrior’s path from an early age. At 18, she joined the United States Air Force, becoming a Security Police K-9 handler and the first woman to complete Special Forces — Special Operations training. Her journey carried her across the world — from Korea to Germany — before she claimed the wide skies of Texas as home. A fierce competitor, she has crossed the finish line of six marathons, countless triathlons, and stood on the world stage representing the United States Women’s Floorball Team. In later years, she turned her warrior spirit toward the ancient arts — beekeeping, gardening, fermenting, distilling, candle and soap making — living close to the earth and honoring the wisdom of those who came before. But at the heart of it all burns her passion for Irish history, language, and mythology. Proud of her Irish bloodline, Lauren is a lifelong student of the old stories — the forgotten gods, warrior queens, and timeless legends of Éire. Through her writing, she seeks to awaken the world to the beauty, mystery, and power of Irish myth — and to remind us all that the old magic still lingers, waiting to be remembered.
