Laura was born and raised Sweden. After graduating art school, she began her career as a professional free-lance illustrator in Stockholm; working with design firms, advertising agencies, department stores, magazines and newspapers. In 1993 Stockholm, Laura moved to New York City. She quickly found work with high-end department stores, magazines and design firms. Laura’s first children’s book, Toni’s Topsy Turvy Day was published in 2001. To date, Laura’s work with editorial and commercial clients continue as she has published 13 children’s books as well as designed games and museum products for children and adults. Laura lives in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn with her daughter, husband and their pit bull.
