Laura Gates Galvin has worked in children’s book publishing as both an editor and author for more than 30 years. She has written over 75 published books, including award-winning titles created in partnership with organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution, the African Wildlife Foundation, Sesame Workshop, Disney, and WGBH. In addition to her work as an author, Laura is an accomplished editor who has collaborated with many leading children’s publishers. Throughout her career she has edited hundreds of books for companies including Penguin Random House/PSS, Intervisual Books, Soundprints, and Kidsbooks Publishing. Laura’s work is driven by a love of books and a passion for creating engaging books that inspire curiosity, learning, and imagination in young readers.
