Laura Buckingham is a wife, mother and nurse. She has been on her own incredible and challenging journey through recurrent miscarriage and pregnancy loss. She started blogging to help process her thoughts and emotions during some of her darkest times but soon found that it was helping others and it was clear that her story could provide some hope for others on similar journeys. So she wrote her first book, a memoir, ‘It Will Happen’. In Lockdown 2020 she joined forces with Bex Gunn, who had also experienced miscarriage, to create an award winning podcast named 'The Worst Girl Gang Ever'. It focuses on open and honest conversations surrounding miscarriage and pregnancy loss. The TWGGE online community is thriving and it is clear that there sadly is such a huge need for this. They run online courses to support, nurture and empower people after the loss of their baby and help people to move forward in their grief and to try to conceive again following loss. The worst girl gang ever survival guide for navigating miscarriage and pregnancy loss is being published in August 2022. Laura lives in Kent with husband Scoop, son Bertie, Cooper the dog, Bandit the pup and Ernie the tortoise.
