Larry Singleton is a New Orleans native and life-long resident. Larry is a graduate of Herzing University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Being an avid reader and a passionate fan of crime/thrillers, developing a passion for writing was the natural progression for Larry. He still resides in New Orleans with his wife and two kids. The Alexander family rules the city in Larry Singleton's crime novel Honor Among Thieves . They had "humble" beginnings dealing drugs out of a laundromat. Over the years their family has grown and so has their business. They now own a multimillion-dollar nightclub and a citywide drug empire, headed by their patriarch Blue. They are notoriously violent. Anyone who snitches on them or cooperates with law enforcement in any way knows they are as good as dead. Individual members of the family have done prison sentences here and there, but no one has ever been able to nail the entire family and eliminate their organization. Detective Hopkins is confident he's the man for the job. Hopkins soon finds out, however, that the job is trickier than he ever thought it would be. Blue has eyes and ears all over town, inside and outside the penitentiary. He's the most dangerous man in the city, but he seems to be untouchable. Whether out of fear or loyalty, the neighborhood residents refuse to cooperate, making Detective Hopkins' job even more difficult. Honor Among Thieves paints the Alexander crime family in a sympathetic light. They are not necessarily written as good guys, but their exploits are presented in a framework of a tenacious family guarding the business they built from the ground up. Blue, CJ, Charles and rest of the Alexanders always seem to be two steps ahead of the cops. They are the cunning Roadrunner to Detective Hopkins' Wile E. Coyote. Adding to the story is the behind-the-scenes legal action. Mr. Singleton's knowledge of the legal system is evident in his portrayal of the quid pro quo between the district attorney and Blue's defense attorney.
