I’m Kristin Kaldahl, and after twenty years training agility dogs professionally, I decided to put my experience to a different use and write novels about dogs. My books weave realistic canine characters and dog behavior throughout powerful stories that highlight the beauty of the dog/human bond. June 1st, 2021 will mark the release of my debut novel, Aslan: Running Joy. This book combines not only my experience as a dog agility trainer and competitor, but also my own struggles as a teenage kidney transplant recipient. And, the book’s hero, Aslan, is based on a real dog, too. That’s the real Aslan on the cover! In addition, Aslan: Running Joy, a book for people of all ages, takes into account the sensitivities toward animals of today’s reader.
