Komi Afetse is Database Systems Engineer working for the Defense Information Systems Agency at the Pentagon. In the Army Reserve, he is a first Lieutenant currently serving as Team Leader in the Civil Military Operation Center of the 354th Civil Affairs Brigade, Riverdale MD. He was born and raised in Togo (West Africa), and left his country of birth in search of a better life in the United States of America in March 2004. After a very difficult start in the U.S where he spent his first 4 months in Immigration Custody, Komi went on to achieve his American Dream and financial independence. As North Carolina A&T State University graduate, Komi is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in IT Management Systems at the University of Maryland.
