About the Author

Kirkwood Ferguson is an author, educator, consultant, and former professor whose work explores one enduring question:

What shapes the direction of a life, an organization, or a destination?

For more than two decades, he has worked across the global tourism and hospitality industry—as an educator, consultant, tour operator, event planner, travel editor, and speaker. His career has taken him from cruise ships and airlines to universities and international conferences, giving him a front-row seat to the forces that help people, businesses, and communities flourish—or slowly lose their way.

Rather than viewing these challenges as isolated problems, Ferguson is interested in the deeper patterns beneath them. His books examine the hidden systems that influence human behavior, leadership, travel, identity, and long-term success. By bringing together insights from tourism, psychology, systems thinking, history, and personal development, he invites readers to see familiar problems from a new perspective and discover practical ways to create healthier, more resilient futures.

He holds a Master's degree from George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University, and has taught at institutions including GLION, The University of the West Indies, and The Art Institute. His professional experience spans hospitality operations, destination development, tourism education, consulting, and international speaking.

Whether writing about regenerative tourism, personal transformation, or the unseen forces that influence our choices, Ferguson's work is united by a single purpose:

To help people see more clearly, think more deeply, and build lives and organizations that thrive for generations.

His books are written for readers who are not merely looking for answers, but for a better way to understand the questions that shape their future.
