Kim thinks herself lucky to live in Northumberland and is passionate about the area. She usually sets her work in the Northeast finding inspiration amongst the many cafes she frequents, accidentally overhearing interesting conversations which are stored away for future use! Kim had her first work published as a teenager when writing happy ever after stories for teen magazines. Then as a poor student she progressed to short stories for women which didn’t always have a happy ending (as we all well know!) Life and work then got in the way until the last few years, when Kim found a re-ignited love for writing, and was shortlisted by Penguin in a Romantic Comedy competition which gave her the confidence to push forward with the book that became Love Lindisfarne. Kim has since written the follow up Love Beyond Lindisfarne and both books are amongst the highest customer rated romantic comedies on Amazon - something Kim is very proud of. Kim was shortlisted for the Comedy Women in Print Prize Short Story Competition 2023 with another northeastern tale about a hapless teenager and her beloved Nana Mary. Kim felt that these characters were far too loveable to leave languishing in a laptop so they make another appearance in Kim's Christmas novella, The Christmas Angel of the North. Kim has been so blessed with finding a clan of lovely readers who have supported her in her writing endeavours and thanks to their unwavering support, amazing reviews and general cheering on, Kim is now well underway with book 3 in the Lindisfarne series and LOVE FOREVER LINDISFARNE is heading for release in early summer 2025, and features your favourite characters and some interesting new faces too! Life on the island is never dull and a stranger turning up during a special celebration captures the hearts of the local residents. All of Kim's beautiful covers are bespoke real artwork by Sarah Farooqi of Gallery 45 in Felton, Morpeth.
