Hi, my name is Kevin Vallely. I'm a business professional and world-class explorer. I fully understand how the 'Wild Wisdom' garnered in the adventure world maps directly to the day-to-day challenges faced by the modern business professional because I live it myself. I have a very busy life juggling my time as an architect, leadership mentor, author, keynote speaker and happily married father of two girls yet, through it all, I've still found time to become an internationally recognized explorer. My adventuring career spans nearly two decades with one of my many career highlights occurring in 2009 when myself and two teammates broke the world record for the fastest unsupported trek from the edge of the Antarctic continent to the Geographic South Pole. I'm a member of the esteemed Explorer’s Club and was honoured as an Explorer’s Club Flag recipient for my expedition to the Northwest Passage in 2013. My book on that adventure called Rowing the Northwest Passage: Adventure, Fear, and Awe in a Rising Sea was published in 2017 by Greystone Books. My most recent book Wild Success is an exciting journey into the world of the extreme adventure explaining how the insights from elite adventurers can help you, as a leader, perform at your best. My co-author Amy Posey and I wrote this book to engage and inspire readers like you with stories from both the adventure and business worlds while providing concrete performance tips, based on current research in neuroscience, that will allow you to grow and thrive as a leader. Wild Success is published by McGraw-Hill and will be released in March 2020.
