Kelsey Kramer McGinnis is a journalist and musicologist who writes broadly about American Christianity. She is a regular contributor to Christianity Today, where she writes about congregational worship, music, and culture. Kelsey is a coauthor of The Myth of Good Christian Parenting: How False Promises Betrayed a Generation of Evangelical Families (Brazos, '25). She is also the author of Thin, Holy, and Never Enough (forthcoming with Brazos, '27), which will examine the impact of Christian diet and wellness culture on women.

Kelsey currently teaches in the theology and humanities departments at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her PhD from the University of Iowa in 2020.
