Kay Rae Chomic's debut novel, A TIGHT GRIP, was a Finalist in Foreword’s Book of the Year Awards. The story covers themes of competitive golf, women's friendships, and the transformative power of adversity (powerful themes in Kay's own life). Raised in Michigan, Kay began her migration west after graduating from MSU. She has lived in Denver, Phoenix, and since 1990, Seattle. She loves Seattle for its vibrant arts' scene, natural beauty, and climate (really!). Retired from a career in business, Kay revels in her passion for writing, volunteers to promote youth literacy, golfs weekly (sometimes weakly); she's a Motown fan forever, and wine & whiskey enthusiast.
