Dr. Bartoloni-Tuazon is an expert on the early presidency and is the author of For Fear of an Elective King: George Washington and the Presidential Title Controversy of 1789. She is a thought leader in her field, has been interviewed by National Public Radio, and has had opinion pieces in The Economist and the Boston Globe. She also has several appearances on C-SPAN and lectures on the presidency, the presidential title controversy, and the Washington administration. Dr. Bartoloni-Tuazon received her doctorate from George Washington University (GWU) in Washington D.C. She was fortunate to find a welcome intellectual environment at the First Federal Congress Project in Washington D.C. where she was Visiting Scholar. The First Federal Congress Project documented all material related to America's first Congress under the new Constitution. For Fear of an Elective King: George Washington and the Presidential Title Controversy of 1789, was published by Cornell University Press in the fall of 2014. It is available in hardback, paperback, e-book and audio book forms. For Fear of an Elective King has been recommended by sources as varied as Vanity Fair, the Journal of the Early Republic, and Presidential Studies Quarterly.
