Karla Blanco is a best selling author, coach, speaker, leadership trainer and corporate leader with more than twenty years’ experience working in a Fortune 100 corporation. She studied customs administration and holds an MBA with an international business emphasis. She is an Aspen Fellow from the Central America Leaders Initiative (CALI), from the program of Leadership to Significance. She is also a certified mentor with Vital Voices in Costa Rica, mentoring entrepreneurs and working on efforts to engage women in science and technology and to raise consciousness about the importance of educating girls and women to drive economic improvement. Due to her effort and leadership, the Vital Voices Costa Rican chapter launched its first group of male mentors at a global level to support diversity and inclusion. She has gone through many restructuring processes and layouts throughout her career. Her positive outlook on life and ownership of her growth process has allowed her to have a meaningful career and has helped her mentees and coachees to unlock their potential to enjoy meaningful careers and fulfilling lives by unleashing the best version of themselves. In 2009 she was recognized by Costa Rican business newspaper El Financiero as one of the top 40 country leaders under 40 years old. Karla enjoys spending time with her son, Andres, her friends, and her family. She has a special passion for the ocean and is a certified scuba diver. Meditation is part of her daily routine and she also enjoys reading and dancing.
