A debut author, Leann Murphy weaves a lifetime of personal and professional experience into her writing. Married for 36 years with 33 years of parenting and grandparenting, she believes the most powerful lessons in life come from surviving the toughest challenges by leaning on the Word of God. She has spent over two decades teaching Bible classes and leadign retreats for women and teens, sharing her love for the Word of God and how it has carried her through the toughest times. Leann is passionate about sharing God’s faithfulness in working all things—even our own sins and failures—out for the good of those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Her 35-year career includes roles as a Public Relations Director, HR Manager, Executive Director of a non-profit, educator, business trainer, and public speaker, all of which have shaped her unique perspective. She founded MPowered Business, Inc. in 2011. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross and is involved with the Business Acceleration System, a program of Louisiana Central. Born in Texas as the middle child of a large family, she committed her life to Jesus when she was 8 years old. Leann moved to Arkansas at 18 to attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in journalism and a master's of education focused on communication and public relations. She and Mike met and married in 1988 in Crossett, Arkansas, moved to Monroe, Louisiana and then eventually to Alexandria, Louisiana. She enjoys living on an Oxbow of the Red River with Mike, spending time with her sons, their wives and her grandsons. She finds joy in writing, teaching, and supporting others through life's ups and downs.
