K.R. Hill is a popular mystery/thriller author. He currently has four novels (three in a series) on the market, along with a collection of short stories. Kevin has also written for newspapers, magazines and websites. You might say that he chose a nontraditional life when he left the US and traveled around Europe, Israel, Egypt, Sudan, and Mexico for many years. The people he met while picking apples, running a bar on a kibbutz, traveling atop supply trucks in Africa, and living in an abandoned house beside the Caribbean, often appear as characters in his novels. Those days of travel have become invaluable memories that, he believes, add depth to his writing. He was raised by a law enforcement parent who often told police stories at the dinner table, and by an outdoorsman uncle that taught him to hunt and handle firearms at an early age. The memory of that uncle teaching him to find clams with a pitchfork in the Baja surf, and how to crack them open and dash with lime juice and Tabasco sauce before slurping them down, well, that memory is one of his fondest. He enjoys working on his classic truck, spear-fishing, deep sea fishing, cooking and laughing with friends, and of course playing soccer with his pit/great Dane buddy. The dog always wins.
