Gidday and thanks for dropping in.

I'm the Australian author of The Longest Winter, Fool's Gold, The Site, No Exit, The Diamond Factory, Beyond Laughter, An Absence of Angels, Kizzy, The Edge of Nowhere, A Tear of Blood, One Act of Kindness and Anything for Love. I have been traditionally published in Australia, USA, UK, Germany and France, and early in my 'career' I won a major fiction prize. I've also been semi-finalist, twice, in the Best Kindle Book competitions of 2012 with No Exit and in 2014 with The Longest Winter.

My writing is a mix of historical, thrillers, romantic suspense and human dramas. I guess I could say I write something for everyone.

I live in a small country town on the Darling Downs in Queensland, Australia with my man, two big dogs, one cat, five goldfish, four chooks and six cockatiels. Go to http://www.julieh.com.au for more information.

"The Longest Winter is the best book I have ever read!!! I love your books!!!

Julie, I am 70 years old and I read 3-4 books a week. "The Longest Winter" is by far the best I have EVER read ... a great pleasure to read and true literary treasure.

I am a Swiss geography teacher and I will recommend your book to my students.

A wonderful story so incredibly written that I could see each scene unfolding. It was like watching a movie. I can't wait to read all your other books.

I almost took a vacation day just so I could read No Exit. I could not wait to finish reading. Julie Harris has found a fan in me.

Julie Harris did it again. I loved her mix of paranormal and mystery in A Tear of Blood and she didn't disappoint with No Exit.

Julie, I just read The Site. Great book. Thanks and keep up the good work.

A Tear of Blood kept me guessing. There were twists and turns throughout the plot that kept me on my toes and my nose in the book.

I really hope that the author turns it into a series."
