Julie Creffield is an award-winning business legacy strategist, keynote speaker, and author working at the intersection of innovation, emerging technology, and humanity. Her work focuses on supporting founders and small-to-medium-sized businesses to engage with innovation and AI in ways that are practical, ethical, and genuinely useful — without losing sight of people, purpose, or wellbeing. With 30 years of experience working both independently and alongside organisations, Julie has supported thousands of founders and SME leaders to design and grow ventures that are sustainable, human-centred, and fit for the future. She is driven by a simple belief: innovation should make life and work better, not more complicated. Today, much of her work centres on helping teams build confidence with AI and emerging technology, strengthening decision-making, productivity, and long-term resilience. In 2010, Julie founded a global plus-size fitness movement that helped millions of women get active and changed the face of sport for plus-size bodies. That experience, combined with more than 15 years working in offline community engagement, established her early expertise in building and sustaining large-scale communities. Long before social media platforms and AI tools became mainstream, she was exploring how technology can connect people, amplify under-represented voices, and create belonging. Born into a working-class family with five siblings, Julie was the first in her family to attend university, where she studied performing arts before completing a master’s degree in multimedia design and culture. She began her career working with excluded communities in East London and spent eight years on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, helping ensure the Games were inclusive and left a meaningful legacy for local people. These experiences continue to shape her approach to innovation as something that must be socially responsible and accessible. Julie is now an in-demand international speaker on innovation, productivity, human-centred technology, and creating profit for good. She is a proud supporter of the charity StreetChild, which works to improve access to quality education for children and young people in some of the world’s most challenging environments. A six-time marathon runner, triathlete, open-water swimmer, adventurer, and occasional daredevil (with the exception of spiders), Julie is a strong advocate for setting ambitious goals and letting go of the fear of judgement. Originally from East London, where she lived for 45 years, she now lives in Hertfordshire with her young daughter Rose and their mischievous ginger cat, Tom.
