Julie Ann Sipos is the creator of the Jaycee Grayson novels—darkly comic, sharp-edged heartland satires that blend political intrigue, cultural critique, and female reinvention. Her debut, Horrible Women, Wonderful Girls, became a #1 Amazon bestseller, IPPY Gold Medalist, and Writer's Digest Grand Prize Winner, launching a series that continues with The Girlfriend Guide to Negligent Homicide (June, 2026) and its companion titles, Naomi’s Recipe Box and Postcards from Littleburgh, WI. Sipos has developed award-winning entertainment for Disney/Pixar, Mattel, and American Girl and holds an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA. A professor of Cinema & Television Arts at California State University Northridge, she brings a producer’s eye and a satirist’s instinct to stories about women navigating power, loyalty, ambition, and Midwest nice. Her books are published under Dartmouth Park, a woman-owned independent imprint dedicated to bold female voices and wickedly intelligent storytelling. Off the page, she can still deliver a mean Bruin 8-Clap and spends off-time among family restoring a classic pickup truck and a hundred-year-old home.
