I write about what I do, what I love. I run NLP & EFT Kids, providing support for children and teens as well as their parents. I help them with anxiety, angry feelings, low self-esteem, birth and early childhood trauma and shadow work (working with those parts of ourselves that we don't like). I train parents and teachers in NLP & EFT to use in their own life and to use professionally as an NLP & EFT Kids Practitioner. NLP is neuro linguistic programming which lots of people know within the workplace but believe me, it is so relevant for parents! Neuro is all our thoughts and feelings, what we make something mean for us personally. Linguistic is how we express these using both words and our body language. Programming is the patterns we run from the thoughts, what we say and what we do. Sometimes these give us the result we want and other times, not. When we learn and apply NLP, we get more understanding of how our thoughts affect our feelings and how we respond with what we say and do. This gives us new choices to make a different result. EFT is emotional freedom technique or tapping. It is based on the idea of energy meridians flowing through our body which get disturbed and blocked when we feel emotional. To release the blockage and return to 'flow' and calm, we tap on the different points in the body. It can be done anywhere and it is easy for anyone to do. My books include much more than NLP and EFT as I use many other modalities in my work; play and art, crystals, drama triangle, inner child, shadow work, Lego models and clay. Clients can see me in person in Maidenhead or online and I also offer walking therapy. They are charity books supporting Queens of Africa (funding education for girls in Lagos) and books for the Kennel Club's Bark and Read Scheme. I would say that my writing style is warm and friendly, I am willing to be vulnerable and share my feelings. I have a good sense of fun and my therapy sessions are activity and art based with a sprinkling of techniques from the world of NLP and EFT. Clients may laugh and cry but they always emerge a step or so closer to their desired outcome. I hope that this is also true for my writing.
