Judith W. Spain is a tenured professor, an attorney licensed to practice in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky, and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. She served as the assistant dean of business, MBA director, and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) coordinator at Eastern Kentucky University, a large public institution. Judy also served as general counsel at Eastern Kentucky University. She conceived and implemented the first compliance program and served as the chief ethics and compliance officer. Judy was employed as general counsel and chief ethics and compliance officer at Manhattanville College, a small private institution, and developed the first compliance initiative. Judy contributes to the professional compliance community by presenting national webinars, conducting seminars, and publishing in numerous academic and professional journals in the ethics and compliance field. Judy has an active consulting practice, Higher Education Compliance Consulting.
