Joy is a debut novelist whose love of storytelling threads through every part of her
life. Alongside being a stay-at-home mom, she works as a freelance editor and teaches creative
writing classes to teens through her local co-op, encouraging young writers to grow in their skills
while building their passion for storytelling. Whether she’s crafting her own stories or helping others
shape theirs, Joy can often be found typing away at the computer or talking all things books.
An avid reader from an early age, Joy has always loved escaping into a good book, but even more,
she loves inviting readers into worlds of her own creation. As a teenager, poetry became a passion,
and its influence is seen in the lyrical quality of her prose and the emotional depth of her characters
as they navigate life’s deeper struggles.
When she’s not writing or editing, Joy is busy as a wife and mother of four living on the coast of FL.
Wendybird, her debut novel, is book one in the Second to the Right series, a planned three-
book set she is currently completing. Book two is expected to release in late 2026 or early spring of
2027.
