Josi B. was born in Havana with a healthy dose of mischief and a suspicious amount of rhythm. She writes YA novels where loyalties snap like cheap sunglasses, secrets burn in back pockets, and silence begs to spill. She wrangled ESL students by day and played in a band, banging on a djembe and timbales by night (psychology and nutrition studies happened too, but the degrees are collecting dust while the stories run the show). For her debut novel, she powered through revisions on triple espresso. Her editorial pets judged every page. They remain convinced she could do better. Luckily, her protagonists made it to the last page because they outsmarted her. Barely.
