The thing about Joseph Ramshaw is this; if you like stories with lots of action, gory bloodshed, funny jokes and lots of other weird stuff, then you might want to pick up one of my stories and have a read. I love horror movies - anything that makes me frightened or disgusted - but the special place in my heart will always be reserved for the stuff that makes me laugh. Which is why my writing has been heavily influenced by '80s splatterfests such as Evil Dead II, Re-Animator, Night of the Creeps and all those other classics. If it makes me laugh, I'm on board 100%. But my stories are not only influenced by horror flicks. I believe that inspiration comes from a great many places, which is why I feel compelled to state my love for superhero movies (Marvel especially), action movies (they must be extremely bloody), comedies (The Inbetweeners, Pitch Perfect, Anchorman, Anchorman 2) and, of course, sci-fi (Star Wars - hell yeah). The pages of my stories are filled with larger than life characters doing horrible things; things that will make you laugh, cringe and possibly void your bowels in an orgasmic spasm of delight.
