Joseph Melookaran is a seasoned CPA and financial advisor with over 30 years of experience across various leadership roles. As a passionate entrepreneur, he has founded multiple ventures, including a CPA firm, a financial advisory service, and an information technology and network security company. His company, JMA Information Technology Inc. (JMA), expanded globally, with locations across the USA and in countries like India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. In 2018, JMA was successfully acquired by another firm. Beyond his business achievements, Joseph is dedicated to community service. He co-founded the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City and has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving as president of the International Relations Council of Kansas City. He also contributed to the national board of the World Affairs Councils of America and held leadership positions at several community-focused organizations. From 2004 to 2007, Joseph served on the Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders under President George W. Bush. He was the lead author of the Commission’s report, “Enhancing Economic Opportunities for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders,” which outlines strategies to promote economic growth within these communities.
