Dr. Joe, as he is affectionately known by his patients, has been a fitness enthusiast his entire life. He convinced his parents to buy him a weight set for his 8th birthday and has been hooked on health and fitness ever since. A former Division 1 college gymnast, Dr. Joe turned to competitive bodybuilding after college. During 20 years of bodybuilding, Dr. Joe won numerous titles including the 2007 Masters National Bodybuilding Championship in the lightweight division. An avid animal lover, he follows a 100% plant-based diet. Dr. Joe is a 1987 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Exercise Science and a 1991 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Joe remains in active practice, with a specialty in soft tissue release work, in the Boston area. He is married with 3 children.
