Meet John R. Patterson. He is the co-author (with Chip Bell) of Wired and Dangerous; How Your Customers Have Changed and What To Do About It (BK, May 2011). He is the co-author of two additional books with Chip Bell including the national best seller Take Their Breath Away: How Imaginative Service Creates Devoted Customers and Customer Loyalty Guaranteed: Create, Lead, and Sustain Remarkable Customer Service. John is a sought after speaker and workshop leader on the topics of Creating Devoted Customers, Service Innovation, Connecting with Employees and Customers, and Effective Leadership in Difficult Times. His articles have appeared in numerous professional journals including Leadership Excellence, Customer Relationship Management, Sales and Service Excellence, Incentive Magazine, SBusiness, M World, Assisted Living Executive and Energy Today. He is founder and President of Progressive Insights a member of the Chip Bell Group. John's consulting practice helps organizations worldwide consistently deliver great customer service and employee experiences. His clients span a variety of industries including the financial services, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology, cable TV, quick service restaurant, utility, assisted living, trade show management, wholesale auto auction, hospitality, commercial construction, real estate, education and business services industries. John holds a graduate degree in business from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel. He has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in the hospitality, business services, real estate and financial services industries. Prior to founding Progressive Insights in 2001, his work experience included senior leadership positions with Trammell Crow Residential, Post Properties, Nations Bank (now Bank of America), Homestead Village, Inc., and Guest Quarters Hotels.
