After facing hardships as a young man that could have permanently derailed his life, John Houston has become a respected and successful business owner who views his companies as a vehicle to reach people for Christ and support ministries around the world. He is the Founder and CEO of John Houston Custom Homes, a homebuilding company he began in 2004. Since that time, he has started six additional companies that make up the JH Family of Companies.

Through the years, John has stayed true to his core belief of putting God first, family second and work third. This has created a company culture that excels at the highest level.

In his book "Finding My Way Home", John Houston reflects on a life of trials, hardships, and mistakes through the lens of gratitude for God’s enduring faithfulness.

John has spent the past sixteen years building for others what he didn’t always have for himself growing up: a family home. He explains, “God created a story with my life that puts a spotlight on His mercy and grace—a story of my anger and His forgiveness; of the broken family I grew up in and His restoration; and of my demanding ‘leadership’ as a husband and father and His model for me to lead with love.”

John found his way home—his true Home. Now, he wants to help you do the same.

John has been married to his beautiful wife, Tracy, for more almost thirty years, and they are the parents of two young adult kids, Austin and Ashtyn. They live outside of Dallas and enjoy eating a great steak, spending time outdoors, and traveling on adventures together as a family.
