John C. Arot is a rough around the edges, cussing, sarcastic, but loving tub of jelly. He is a 63-year-old retired roofer living in the Pennsylvania mountains with his wife of 35+ years (God Bless her soul). They are restoring a 19th-century farmette one careful piece at a time—usually with his 3 children, his brother, and best friends nearby; passing tools and the laughing hours into the night. Usually and deservedly at his expense.

Ironically, he's not churchy or preachy and doesn't do organized religion, but he believes in God—or whatever massive force or presence is behind it all—and he's always been the type to think for himself, digging into the raw spots where science, ethics, human nature, and the unknown bump into each other. With the full knowledge that there is something bigger than anyone can fathom.

That independent streak drives THE TAV: The Final Warning, a serious, unflinching speculative testimony. Everyday people wake up with a blood-red Tav marked on their wrists, a silent refusal in a world sliding toward synthetic control, collapse, and deep moral reckoning. It's stark, provocative, and meant to make you confront hard possibilities—not preachy, just real questions.

When he's not wrestling with the heavy stuff, John keeps it fun and light for younger readers. The Land of Bob is a goofy rhyming kids' book about one little Bob who breaks free from a boring gray world of sameness, bringing colors, wild new names, dancing cats, and clocks that finally tick ahead.

Washington's Magical Christmas Key is a warm holiday legend told by an Ole' Yarn spinner. It blends American history, George Washington's grit, A Very Brave patriot, and Christian Christmas miracles—complete with reindeer antics, a magical key, and seasonal cheer passed down through the family.

He sells antiques part-time, brews and sells Black Walnut Syrup under the pseudonym "Redneck Ninja", fishes when the trout are biting, tinkers around the farm (mostly on his tractor) and finds something to laugh at no matter how rough things get—because laughing hard beats falling apart. Curiosity keeps him writing. A solid laugh (or a well-timed curse) keeps him grounded, and a fresh batch of syrup keeps life a little sweeter.
