Joan Fernandez is a multi-award-winning novelist who uncovers overlooked women’s stories—narratives that don’t just come to light, but light the way. In 2018, she retired from a 30-year career as a senior marketing executive to become a full-time writer, bringing a unique professional perspective to the business of historical legacies.

Her novel, Saving Vincent, has earned acclaim from the Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards, the American Writing Awards, and the Independent Author Network. Joan is also a sought-after public speaker and an expert on the life of Jo van Gogh-Bonger, having presented her research at the Fred Jones Jr. Art Museum and the Wedge Innovation Center.
