Jim Carr's adventure with words began as a teacher of Latin grammar. He studied Latin for eight years and has written a Latin textbook, called Lingua Latina -- Latin for Beginners. He had a degree in Classics and English. This was followed by a career in print journalism on two daily newspapers as a reporter, editor and cu=olumnist. He left to become a communications specialist for a number of national and international corporations and institutions, returning to journalism in retirement and acts as associate editor of Spa Canada magazine as well as a freelancing for other publications. He writes a blog about Thai resorts and spas, which is featured on Spa Canada's website, as well as an ebook on outstanding Thai resorts and their spas, which he is currently updating and will offer when the virus fades. He has written four mysteries, a book of short stories, called Betrayal, a wartime romance, called There;s Always Tomorrow, and a historical romance, Yesterdays, about love in the time of the great fire of London. He has finished two other adventure books and is currently writing historical novel.
