I'm grateful to everyone who reads my books--thank you! I just released my 14th novel, Love in the Outfield, and what a journey it has been. I began writing my first novel ten years before More Than a Boss was published in 2019, but never completed it. Then during a major life change, More Than a Boss was born. Initially, it was a creative outlet and a place to channel my energy into something besides the changes and heartbreak I was going through. I had no intention of publishing. However, as the story took shape, friends encouraged me to explore it further and I decided to take the leap into self-publishing. I had no idea what it would entail and I believe many authors would agree that naivety can be a blessing. LOL Over the years I've learned invaluable lessons... mostly what to do (and what not to do). Writing the story is just the beginning. As a self-published author, I'm not only the creator but also the publisher, marketer, public relations person... essentially a small business owner responsible for all aspects of launching and promoting my work. Having the right team is crucial. From my editor to the book cover and interior designers, these collaborators help bring the best version of my story to life. I'm blessed with an amazing team that supports me, offering honest feedback and encouragement during tough times. And of course, there's you--my readers. I hope you enjoy getting to know my characters as much as I enjoy creating them. Each series ends with favorites that I hate to part with, and I want my readers to feel like they've spent time with people they genuinely like and root for by the end.
