Jess Keating is an award-winning author, artist, and zoologist, whose work has been featured in the New York Times, CBC, Buzzfeed, Parents Magazine, and more. She is the creator of more than 20 fiction and nonfiction books, including the bestselling 'Shark Lady', Pink is for Blobfish, the Elements of Genius middle grade series, and the graphic novel series, Bunbun & Bonbon.

Jess’s writing and art celebrate nature’s weirdest and wildest—because nothing beats a blobfish for showing how nature celebrates the beauty of being different, and the importance of embracing our own unique selves.

These days, you can find Jess writing books, poking through tidepools for the perfect shell, or nerding out over anything that glows in the dark. She’d like to be remembered as a person who helped others see the magic of the world—and their own incredible place in it.
